Northcote High School required a new Performing Arts Centre. The project on St Georges Rd for the Victorian Building Authority includes a two-level building with 1,500m2. The “Black Box” theatre with glazed black bricks lining the internal walls creates a dramatic effect. 

Kerstin Thompson Architects also designed a huge brick arch entry requiring detailed precision to build and creates an impressive welcome in the building foyer. Sustainability features include an extensive solar panel array that will benefit the school for years to come.
